Lavender Thai Therapy has since 2021 been an approved VTCT (Vocational Training Charitable Trust) provider.
VTCT qualifications are regulated by the UK National Occupational Standards (NOS) and are widely accepted by:
- Professional massage & beauty insurance providers
- Employers (spas, clinics, wellness centres)
- Local councils (for licensing where required)
We deliver training and qualification assessments for Thai, Swedish and Sports massage.
We are based in East London, as well as Bangkok, Thailand. Our international school is in the Nongjok district of Bangkok which is only a short drive from Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Course Requirements:
There are no formal qualifications needed for our acceptance:
- Minimum age: 16
- Prior massage experience is not essential
- Reasonable level of English (written & spoken)
- Expect hands-on practice — you’ll both give and receive massages during training.
Assessment:
Each qualification is practically assessed:
- Observed massage treatments (including consultations and delivering therapy)
- Portfolio of evidence (contains written assignments)
- Written assignments including anatomy & physiology, health and safety etc
- Client case studies (for reflective practice)
Thai Massage Course:
Full Course Cost: £990 (Including VTCT Registration fee)
Course Duration: (1-2 days per week) for 8–12 weeks depending on your ability and previous practical knowledge of Thai massage.
Plus – Online lessons for Anatomy & Physiology & Pathology
1 day a week for 10 weeks (2 hours per session)
Swedish Massage Course:
Full Course Cost: £990 (Including VTCT Registration fee)
Course Duration: (1-2 days per week) for 8–10 weeks, depending on your ability and previous practical knowledge of Swedish massage.
Plus – Online lessons for Anatomy & Physiology & Pathology
1 day a week for 10 weeks (2 hours per session)
Sports Massage Course:
Full Course Cost: £1,700 (Including VTCT Registration fee)
Course Duration: (1-2 days per week) for 10–15 weeks, depending on your ability and previous practical knowledge of Sports massage.
Plus – Online lessons for Anatomy & Physiology & Pathology
1 day a week for 12 weeks (2 hours per session)
