Thai massage is a healing treatment that dates back more than 2,500 years to time of the Buddha, a very long time before doctors were around!
Many of today’s health issues can benefit from professional massage therapy. This is because manipulating the body’s soft tissue, twisting and stretching your body will improve the working of your muscular, nervous, circulatory and lymphatic (immune) systems.
We don’t need to tell you about the lifestyle factors that may be affecting you at work or home, but we can say that a massage treatment will help you feel better, both mentally and physically. By feeling more relaxed, you will have more energy and be better able to manage the issues that life throws at you.
Most opinions, as well as research, asserts that massage treatment is particularly helpful if you suffer from:
- Anxiety
- Headaches
- Insomnia related to stress
- Soft tissue strains or injuries
- Sports injuries
- Joint pain
- Digestive disorders
You can discuss possible benefits with your GP or other medical practitioner. You might also want to make an internet search to get a view on any claims you’ve already heard.
